BrimGuard

BrimGuard™ and DripGuard™ offer affordable PPE solutions providing both HI-VIZ and ID while enhancing worker safety with a professional corporate image. The durable and reusable silicone hard hat accessory stretches over the hard hat brim without using stickers or tape and does not affect the integrity of the hard hat or hinder the installation of face shields or hearing protection. Easy to install, easy to remove to inspect the hard hat for damage, sheds rain, and protects the hard hat from damage.
BrimGuard and DripGuard HI-VIZ use 3M Scotchlite™ 8712 reflective tape for a true 360-degree retro reflective hard hat highly visible to motorists and other workers in dark conditions—completing a high visibility profile that exceeds ANSI/ISEA 107-2010 for headgear retroreflectivity area.
BrimGuard MAX (BGRMAX) has more than 50 square inches of reflective 360-degree surface area perfect for night workers in high traffic areas and will not hinder night worker visibility as illuminated accessories might.
BrimGuard ULTRA (BGRU) has 35 square inches of reflective 360-degree surface area and the beaded brim is color coded to provide ID recognition while enhancing a professional corporate image.
BrimGuard DUAL (BGRD) has 15 square inches of reflective 360-degree surface area around the beaded brim combined with the largest color coding ID area in the BrimGuard™ Hi-Viz family.

DripGuard ID Full Brim (DGF) is made of silicone and is widely used for worker identification. Fits most popular styles of full brim hard hats.
DripGuard MAX Full Brim (DGFMAX) for full brim and DripGuard MAX Cap Style (DGBMAX) for cap style both have 15 square inches of reflective 360-degree surface area on the bead and fits most popular styles.

BrimGuard ID (BGD) provides identification with safety colors from yellow to blue on the skirt, bead, and seal. BrimGuard™ is highly visible at great distances and in inclement weather.
BrimGuard and DripGuard ID use color coding instead of different colors of hard hats, colored tape, or stickers to ID short service employees, work groups, contractors, visitors, completed safety orientation, etc. The most popular use is for new workers – once probation is completed, the BrimGuard™/DripGuard™ ID is handed back to the Safety Compliance Specialist and is ready for the next orientation for the new hire.
Published test data (0651-2312-MTDC) has shown red, green, blue, and black hard hats raise the temperature of the hard hat interior up to 10+ degrees F leading to heat-related health incidents. As a result, companies are standardizing using light colored hard hats and color coding with BrimGuard and DripGuard ID.

DripGuard ID Cap Style (DGB) is made of silicone and is also used and reused for identification. Fits most popular styles of cap style hard hats.
The Hi-Viz product line was launched at the NSC 2015 Expo in Atlanta. BrimGuard and DripGuard were reengineered based on customer input and recommendations for more reflectivity and reduced overall product weight. By listening and acting on customer requests, BrimGuard has accomplished these objectives and strives for continuous quality improvement.
According to Dan Lowther, BrimGuard operations manager, “Our goal was to just not meet but exceed requirements within ANSI/ISEA 107 – 2010 through increasing the area of 3M Scotchlite 8712 reflective tape. For example, BrimGuard MAX has more than 50 square inches of 360-degree reflectivity—almost four times the ANSI reflective area requirement—perfect for night road construction workers and flaggers, which is highly visible to motorists but does not impair the worker’s night vision. BrimGuard Hi Viz ULTRA and DUAL were introduced to combine reflectivity and color coding ID with ULTRA and DUAL, providing 35 and 15 square inches of reflectivity, respectively. From high to low traffic work zones and whatever the application, BrimGuard and DripGuard have a Hi-Viz product that will exceed your expectations.” ■
