Colorado Lining International, Inc. (CLI) is one of the world’s most experienced contractors, installers, and fabricators of geosynthetics, with products including membranes, coatings, liners, and floating covers. A repercussion of being one of the best is the necessity to continue innovating new, better products. CLI has done just that. The company has unveiled a new brand for its well-established floating cover systems: Hydro-Cap™.
“We have rolled-out new cover technologies with three patent-pending adaptations that have been met with great success. As such, CLI is now introducing branding to this market segment as we continue to innovate ahead of the curve with unique and exclusive engineered cover solutions,” says Andre Harvey, regional manager of CLI.
FITTED TO CUSTOMER NEEDS
Offered domestically and internationally, Hydro-Cap systems are targeted to customers working with oil and gas pits and tanks, construction water ponds, anaerobic digestion lagoons and digesters, landfill leachate containment, potable water storage, and evaporation control. The design and operational breadth of Hydro-Cap includes aboveground frac and construction water tank covers that can be—and typically are—reused or relocated to multiple sites.
The systems can endure year-round and seasonal punishment in some of North America’s harshest weather conditions. CLI’s Hydro-Cap systems can be tailored to many site conditions, offering materials with the industry’s highest UV and chemical resistances. The dynamic geometric conformance abilities make these systems suitable for a wide-range of designs, from small to large installations.

TURN-KEY OPERATION
Designing and building Hydro-Cap (and other geosynthetic products) is only part of what CLI is all about. The company offers custom fabrication, which takes place in its state-of-the-art, 25,000-square-foot fabrication facility. Custom fabrication allows customers to get the right product for the job with minimum waste and maximum efficiency.
As a full turn-key company, CLI doesn’t just design and build Hydro-Cap and its other geosynthetic products—its highly trained construction division installs them, as well. “We have been designing and building floating covers for 13 years, often in design-build situations,” says Andre. “CLI’s construction division has a reputation as one of the most professional flexible membrane liner installation organizations in the country.” CLI will send either a whole team for the full installation or just a supervisor to make sure the installation process goes smoothly—whichever is the customer’s preference.
IN THE END
With Hydro-Cap, customers can save on cost and resources. Hydro-Cap’s long-term durability and performance means it requires minimal maintenance. The system reduces evaporation, prevents algae growth, protects wildlife, and prevents chlorine attacks against infrastructure. With full installation offered, CLI is making sure customers get the right product, installed the right way, to last the full duration of the job—and longer. ■
